From Serendipity to Sagrada Família: A Behavior Analyst’s Journey

It all began with an unexpected encounter during my senior year at Washington University in St. Louis. A child with autism crossed my path, igniting a passion that would shape my entire career.

Fast forward through a series of qualifications (M.S.Ed, BCBA, LBA, IBA), and you’ll find me immersed in the world of special education. For nearly 25 years, I’ve been navigating the intricate landscape of behavioral therapy, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth.

The Big Apple Years

New York City became my professional playground. From resource rooms in Brooklyn to supervising aspiring BCBAs, I’ve worn multiple hats in the field. I’ve crafted individualized education programs and implemented assessment tools with precision and care.

My approach involves a blend of evidence-based practices:

  • Functional Behavioral Assessments
  • Social skills building programs
  • Data-driven treatment programs
  • Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence analysis

Barcelona Bound

In August 2024, I decided to embrace change. Barcelona beckoned, and I answered the call. Armed with my expertise and a suitcase full of strategies, I set off for the land of Gaudí and tapas.

Now, I’m bringing my New York experience to the Spanish scene. My mission? To blend American methodologies with European approaches, creating a unique behavioral perspective. Whether it’s supporting expat parents, collaborating with international schools, or adapting my practices to a new cultural context, I’m here for it all.

If you’re in Barcelona and find yourself needing a behavior analyst with a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective, look no further. I’m here to turn behavioral challenges into stepping stones for development, one intervention at a time. After all, in the world of behavior analysis, every day brings new opportunities for learning and growth – now with a Mediterranean twist.
